Is what you are saying about yourself impressing others or merely delusional?

While I appreciate that Kellogg’s have a bit of a problem making the back of a cornflakes packet interesting, I do sometimes think that copy writers have a lot to answer for. I realise that they have to sell products but surely they can do so without resorting to blatant puffery?

Here’s an example that has just drifted before me…

Yes, it’s just a 100% cotton t-shirt with their company logo printed on it.

So, now take a look at YOUR promotional materials. Is what YOU are saying about yourself impressive? Or, are you delusional?
